Don’t Take the Pith …

Our band hall is scheduled for demolition. This means moving our accumulated assets. Given that there is a fine line between assets and junk and we have no desire to move junk, store it and move it again we had a working bee to sort one from the other and a large skip for the other.

The band has existed in one form or another for over a century. Plenty of time to make the most serious hoarder jealous.

Superseded uniforms were hitting the skip in quick succession but the pith helmets were hard to resist …

Marion’s Farewell …

A very special night. Marion Shedden chose the final Jazzaoke of 2019 as her benefit concert. All the proceeds go where they always go but we did give her a bunch of flowers! Marion has been a stalwart with the band for nearly half a century. She’s not out of puff, I don’t know why she’s calling it quits. Visit often Marion – you’re they only restraint we have on Peter’s language.
